A Combined Breast Augmentation with Lift Can Transform Your Figure

To achieve a completely enhanced bust line, Dr. James B. Lowe often recommends breast augmentation with lift procedures. This comprehensive approach is particularly effective if you have sagging, drooping breasts, and and wish to increase volume as well as perkiness. By placing breast implants at the same time that he performs a breast lift, Dr. Lowe can give you a fuller and more youthful figure. At Lowe Plastic Surgery in Oklahoma City, OK, we offer various types of implants. Dr. Lowe is also very skilled with numerous surgical techniques, and he will personalize your procedure to minimize scarring and discomfort. Most importantly, with his meticulous care, he can ensure your safety and aesthetic results.

Combining a Breast Augmentation and a Breast Lift

Dr. Lowe can easily combine augmentation and lift surgeries into a single procedure to address multiple concerns at once. Breast augmentation is one of the most popular types of cosmetic surgery. During the procedure, Dr. Lowe will place implants to enlarge your breasts and improve their shape. He uses both saline and silicone implants. Both can be quite effective, though one may be more suited to your body type and how much projection you wish to achieve. However, breast implants alone cannot always improve the height and perkiness of breasts.

breast lift will reduce sagging skin and reposition drooping nipples. Dr. Lowe will create one of three different incision patterns, through which he can remove excess skin. He can also remove skin from the circumference of your areolas if they are stretched or enlarged. In more severe cases, he may actually reposition your nipples and areolas entirely.

Is this Procedure Right for You?

If you struggle with both sagging breasts and lost volume in your chest, you are likely a candidate for breast augmentation with a lift. This treatment can reverse the signs of aging or the effects of pregnancy and age. It can also be a good option following massive weight loss that may have left you with unwanted skin across your whole body and a loss of breast volume. In these cases, Dr. Lowe may combine breast surgery with other body contouring procedures.

To determine your candidacy, the doctor will also consider your overall health and cosmetic goals. If your concerns can be addressed with only a breast lift or augmentation alone, he will recommend the best course of action to meet your needs.

Why Combine Treatment?

A combined breast procedure can help you achieve a more voluptuous, younger-looking silhouette. Augmenting and lifting your bust can also enhance your other features. Your waist may look much slimmer, helping you to achieve a more pronounced hourglass figure. Your refined appearance can boost your confidence, improving your personal relationships and quality of life.

How Surgery is Performed

Before your procedure you will receive general anesthesia. Then Dr. Lowe will create the necessary incisions. These can be placed around the areola, down the front of the breast, and along the chest wall. Dr. Lowe will reshape the breast tissue according to your goals, ensuring the most natural-looking arrangement before placing your breast implants. The entire treatment will typically take between an two to three hours, depending on the amount of correction required.

What to Expect after Surgery

Because Dr. Lowe will combine two procedures into one surgery, breast augmentation with a lift does not require a significantly lengthier recovery. In most cases, you will need to take about two weeks off from work, and you should get plenty of rest during this time. Though some mild activity, such as gentle walking, will promote healing, you should avoid strenuous exercise for up to six weeks. Dr. Lowe will provide specific guidelines as your recovery progresses. You will also need to wear a compression bra or bandages for several weeks to support your incisions and help your breasts settle into their new position.
